Despite Summer Heat, JZTG Pushes Forward with Rotary Rig Core Barrel Orders

Despite the summer heat, production at our workshop remains busy. We are currently handling orders for drilling tools not only from major domestic construction machinery manufacturers but also from various international projects. The current batch includes dozens of 1000mm diameter core barrels and 1500mm diameter cross‑type core barrels.




In piling work, the core barrel (also known as a core barrel with bullet teeth) is used to penetrate hard rock formations by means of ring‑cutting and crushing, allowing efficient hole‑forming and core retrieval. The bullet teeth at the bottom of the barrel perform circular cutting on the rock, and the core is then twisted off by the drilling rig through rotation or torque and lifted out. This method is widely used in piling, especially in projects with substantial rock layers.





The cross‑type core barrel, on the other hand, is primarily used for cobble layers. This type of formation is difficult to core, so the cobbles must first be broken up and then removed using a rotary drilling bucket. However, if the cobbles have already been crushed, the drilling bucket may have difficulty retrieving them, so the cross‑type core barrel is used to grind them down further. In addition, the cross‑type core barrel has a center pilot design, which helps maintain stability when drilling inclined holes.
