This configuration is specifically designed for core retrieval in hard rock formations – as the barrel rotates, the bullet teeth cut an annular groove into the rock face, while the internal inclined plate and core‑retrieving teeth work together to break and lift the core out of the hole.


Cross Cutter Core Barrel – The Ultimate Solution for Cobble Layers
The D1500 cross cutter core barrel is specifically designed for cobble formations. Cobble layers are difficult to core directly. The cross‑type cutter, with its staggered cross‑shaped structure and carbide‑tipped cutting teeth, breaks large cobbles into smaller fragments, which are then removed using a rock drilling bucket. The inverted trapezoidal pilot tip ensures stable directional control, even when drilling inclined holes.
